Applying to the WiT Programme
The admission to the 3.5-month professional WiT Programme at 911±¬ÁÏÍø is organised once a year. In 2026, the WiT Programme is running from September to mid-December.
Who is the WiT Programme for?
- Professionals and practitioners
- Researchers, post Masters’, and early doctoral candidates
- Individuals working across disciplines and sectors
Applicants should be comfortable with ambiguity, dialogue, and intensive collaboration.
Who the WiT Programme may not be for?
WiT may not be suitable if you are seeking:
- A part-time or low-intensity programme
- Primarily technical or discipline-specific training
- A lecture-only learning environment
What is required to apply?
- ²¹â€¯master’s degree or equivalent experience
- ²¹â€¯proof of language proficiency (·¡²Ô²µ±ô¾±²õ³ó)&²Ô²ú²õ±è;
- a motivation to develop the skills and competencies required for work in global development
How to apply?

We may accept applications after the final deadline if vacancies arise. If you are interested and have missed the deadline, you may inquire about such vacancies.
Your application should include the following documents:
- Copy of degree certificates
- Transcript of study records
- Translations of both your degree certificate and transcript of records (if the originals are not in English, Finnish or Swedish)
- Proof of English language proficiency
- CV and optional career portfolio
- Motivation letter
- Two letters of recommendation
Application evaluation criteria
In addition to the certificates and the transcript of study records, you should send a CV and a motivation letter. These two documents carry the most weight in the selection process. You may additionally submit a career portfolio if applicable. The motivation letter should describe your interests and goals for personal and career development, explain how this programme is topical for you now, and how you plan to impact your community.
Tuition fees
For those without a degree study right, the tuition fee is 45 € per ECTS, which totals 1080 € for the entire programme (24 ECTS).
The programme is free of charge for those with a degree study right in one of the Aalto Doctoral Programmes.
