Update your competence or find a completely new direction? Higher education institutions’ new Opin.fi service is now open!

Opin.fi is a collaborative service by Finnish universities and universities of applied sciences, offering a diverse selection of open courses available to everyone. Would you like to develop your competence, widen your horizons or perhaps aim for a completely new career? The new Opin.fi service brings together the learning opportunities offered by Finnish universities and universities of applied sciences for different life situations – browse, compare and select open studies that are right for you. Learn more about the service:

Find studies that are right for you

Opin.fi makes finding out about higher education institutions’ open studies easy. In this service, you can:

  • Search for and compare studies: try the search function or use filters to narrow down the selection. Remotely or face to face, at your own pace or on schedule, credits or not? You decide.
  • Find inspiration and enthusiasm: the ten themes of the service bring together the most interesting studies on topical issues. Find what you're looking for...or maybe something completely new!
  • Find out about flexible learning opportunities: completing credits is not the only way of learning something new – why not try webinars or videos?
  • View your prior studies and save new opportunities: as an identified user, you can also view your previous studies in the service, manage your interests and save your favourites if now is not the right time for you to enrol.

A developing service and expanding offer of studies

This is where it starts – in April, you will already find 29 Finnish higher education institutions in the service!

The goal is that by the end of 2025, the service will include studies of 37 higher education institutions offered in Finnish, Swedish and English, either as contact teaching or distance learning and with or without completing credits.

Compare, find, get interested – and learn.
