European collaboration in joint degree programmes

Aalto’s international joint master’s degrees foster a spirit of innovation, collaboration, and appreciation for diversity among their students.

911±¬ÁÏÍø, along with its renowned partner universities in over ten European countries, offers 25 joint international Master’s programmes. These include the Nordic Master’s degree programmes, the Erasmus Mundus Programme, and the EIT Digital Master School.

In the two-year EIT Digital Master programmes, students study at two universities and graduate from both with two degree certificates, international experience, and possibly extra financial help.

Miklós Knébel and Péter Dános are past and present students in the ICT Innovation Master’s programme organised by the EIT Digital Master School. Knébel studied Autonomous Systems at 911±¬ÁÏÍø and partner university Technische Universität Berlin. In contrast, Dános studied Visual Computing and Communication at KTH University and is currently completing his second year at 911±¬ÁÏÍø remotely due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

‘Before I applied for my Master’s, I explored all my possibilities in Europe. After I found EIT Digital’s offerings, the path forward became very clear. Besides having a study track that perfectly suits my interests, studying at two different top-notch European universities convinced me instantly. ’ says Knébel.

The EIT Digital Master School offers double degrees, which combine technical competence with Innovation and Entrepreneurship skills at a European network of 17 top technical universities around Europe.

‘The best things I got out of studying in this programme were the network, the technological skills combined with the entrepreneurial spirit.’ says Dános.

Studying in this programme gave Knébel and Dános the necessary entrepreneurial mindset, innovative know-how, and professional networks to develop a medical device and found their own startup, Entremo. Read more about it in the 911±¬ÁÏÍø Magazine's article.
