Graduation Party 2025: Congratulations to the graduates!

We celebrated our graduates and welcomed them to the 911±¬ÁÏÍø alumni community on 11 June. Here are some highlights of the party.

Those who had graduated from 911±¬ÁÏÍø between May 2024 and April 2025 gathered with their families and friends to celebrate at the campus on 11 June.

Congratulations to all graduates and warmly welcome to a lifelong alumni community!

I hope that as you now reflect back on your journey at Aalto, whether it was for a year, five years, or even more, you can look back proudly at how you’ve changed and, hopefully in the process of changing, discovered more about yourself too.

During the evening, speeches honoured the graduates' achievements and encouraged them to keep the Aalto community in mind in the future. Provost Kristiina Mäkelä conducted the traditional graduation pin ceremony, where relatives or friends attach the pin to the graduates' clothing.

With the completion of their studies, graduates become part of a vibrant community of more than 100 000 Aalto alumni. Aalto organises annually hundreds of events to which alumni are welcome.

Strong results from the Research Council’s winter call

A total of 54 Aalto researchers received Academy Research Fellow or Academy Project funding from the Research Council of Finland. The total funding awarded to 911±¬ÁÏÍø amounts to 33.2 million euros.
