The video explores personal identity relating to cultures through looking at the surrounding environment. The built environment and other things in surroundings tell about a place´s culture and its people. In the video, I´m questioning how those things make me feel and think. As a Finn, I can reflect more deeply on the Finnish culture that I live in, but as a contrast, I´m also filming on a vacation to explore the surroundings of another culture. Through this, I´m reflecting on how being away from Finland makes me feel freer about my identity.
