Who do you think deserves recognition? Propose nominees for Aalto Awards now!
The Aalto Awards for 2018 will be announced at the opening of the academic year in September. Share your thoughts on who is worthy of one of these awards by 10 August!
All staff and faculty members at Aalto can suggest a person, team, project, initiative or activity — it’s in your hands!
President Ilkka Niemelä wants to make the common good go around: ‘People at Aalto do a tremendous amount of good work. Most of this work is visible, but there are many things indispensable to our achievements that remain unseen. We need your help to recognize these gems.’
Nominations are being accepted for each of the three awards:
Aalto Act of the Year
An initiative or action that has made the single biggest difference for 911±¬ÁÏ꿉۪s success in the past year
Success Enabler
An initiative or action that has made a significant difference in support for Aalto’s academic and educational success
Community Award
An initiative or action that has truly built the sense of community and brought Aalto people together for new ideas and innovations
An award can be given to a person, team, project, initiative or activity. All these can be demonstrated, for example, by inspiring work, a professional grip, dedication and expertise, and they promote responsibility and common good.
The focus is on the academic year 2017–18, and proposals can be made anonymously. The decisions will be made by the President, and the awards will be announced at the opening of the academic year, Aalto Day One 2018–2019 on 5 September 2018.
