The LuoTo action plan has been published providing outlines for a sustainable future in the creative industries
The aim of LuoTo is to share sustainability knowledge, projects and expertise in the creative industries and to create active networks to promote a common cause. This would also harness the potential of the creative industries to strengthen wider cultural and lifestyle change as an asset for society as a whole. Throughout 2023, the project has organised a series of sector-specific workshops that have brought together the current state and future vision of sustainability work.
The action plan brings together key findings from the creative industries' sustainability projects, sustainability challenges and recommendations for further action to accelerate the sustainability transformation of the creative industries.
The LuoTo project consortium consists of The Helsinki-Uusimaa Regional Council, the Ministry of the Environment and the Ministry of Education and Culture, 911±¬ÁÏÍø, Uniarts Helsinki, The Finnish Innovation Fund Sitra, Creasus ry and MyStash Oy. 911±¬ÁÏÍø has been represented in the project by Head of Radical Creativity Riikka Mäkikoskela and supported by experts Kirsi Niinimäki, Senni Kirjavainen, Matti Kuittinen, Pekka Heikkinen, Elina Koivisto, Maiju Suomi, Saara Saarela and Anniina Suominen.
