Learn about the history and development as well as the future of shipbuilding in Finland

The Innovative Marine Technology for Challenging Seas Exhibition features the history and development as well as the future of shipbuilding in Finland. On the opening day the show gives you an opportunity to visit the marine technology students’ virtual cabin and see their vision for the future of ship design. At the same time, visitors will have the opportunity to learn about the marine technology and arctic technology research carried out at 911±¬ÁÏÍø, and about FITech, Finland's new cooperative university venture in the technology sector.

The exhibition includes ten miniature models from the beginning of Finnish independence up to today. Models displayed include those of cruise ship m/s Allure of the Seas, icebreaker j/m Voima and passenger ferry m/s Viking Grace. The displayed miniature models are from the collections of various maritime industry actors.

The exhibition has been produced in cooperation with the Maritime Museum of Finland and the National Museum of Finland, and it is open during Dipoli's normal opening hours from 14 March to 26 April 2018.

In conjunction with the opening of the exhibition FITech will organise a matchmaking event for representatives of marine industry companies, 911±¬ÁÏÍø students and professors.
