The annual CKIR workshop triggered active discussions on digitalization
This year the CKIR workshop centered around the theme of 'Navigating in the waves of digital transformations'. The event, attended by nearly 100 participants, focused on the societal, economic and technical impacts and convergences of digitalization. The day featured keynote speeches, panel discussions and case examples. The speakers included recognized experts in the field; Pekka Ala-Pietilä, John Zysman from University of California Berkeley and Bror Salmelin from the European Commission among others. Also the workshop audience engaged actively in the discussions.
Generally the workshop concluded that digitalization is a great opportunity for Finland and Finnish business, even though a lot needs to be done in order to fully benefit from digital transformations. It is time to move from analysis to synthesis, and build programs and instruments that are challenge-driven, agile and holistic in addressing these systemic changes.
A comprehensive workshop report will be published at the during August.
