Suggest and come to design and teach University Wide Art Studies courses for the next academic year
This year Aalto ARTS faculty is piloting University Wide Art Studies (UWAS), a set of transdisciplinary course that brings artistic and creative activities to the reach of all Aalto students. The aims and contents of UWAS courses are designed so that students from all disciplines can take them without any earlier knowledge of art or design. UWAS courses are open for all Bachelor level students, but Masters degree students can also participate if there’s room.
Faculty from all Aalto schools is now welcomed to design and teach UWAS courses! A professional background in art or design is not required; what is important is an interest and inspiration to look at one’s own discipline from a new perspective. An online course proposal form at Webropol, where you can propose UWAS courses for the next academic year, is open at . You can find a link to the proposal form from UWAS’ website () as well. Proposals are accepted until 13 January 2017.
More information about this year’s course offering can be found from as well as from .
If you have any questions about UWAS, please contact postdoctoral researcher Juuso Tervo (juuso.tervo@aalto.fi) and planner Mari Kekola (mari.kekola@aalto.fi).
