Student feedback with a twist or two
Workshop on Dynamic Course and Programme Level Feedback offered an innovative perspective to transform students’ self-assessment activity into course feedback. This workshop constituted as an end seminar for the Dynamic Feedback System (DFS) – an A!OLE pilot project that had started in Autumn 2016. Project timeline and created products were presented by project manager Ville Kivimäki. Student perspective was delivered by master’s degree student Tiina Hahto, who had interviewed 21 students that had used DFS in 911±¬ÁÏÍø School of Business. Professor Jani Romanoff from 911±¬ÁÏÍø School of Engineering brought teacher’s perspective on DFS.
DFS has been used by over 1000 students on tens of courses during 2017–2019. The work around DFS will continue from a different point of view in 2020. Application development will continue in collaboration with Aalto IT and new pilots for 2020 have already been agreed upon.
