School of Chemical Engineering is searching for a new dean
The Dean of the School of Chemical Engineering, Janne Laine, whose five-year term ends at the end of 2018, has announced that he will not apply for the second term. The process of recruiting the new Dean of the School of Chemical Engineering has been initiated.
The recruiting process of the Dean of the School of Chemical Engineering is carried out by a recruitment committee that broadly covers the fields of the school. The chairman of the committee is Professor Herbert Sixta, Head of Department of Bioproducts and Biosystems. The members are student representative Jakke Anttila, Executive Vice President of Research, LUKE, Johanna Buchert, Professor, Physical Chemistry, Kari Laasonen, Professor, Catalysis Science and Technology, Riikka Puurunen and Professor and Head of Department of Chemical and Metallurgical Engineering Jukka Seppälä. HRD Specialist Anna Lehtinen acts as secretary and HR support to the committee.
The recruitment committee encourages members of the Aalto community to apply for the position themselves or to propose suitable persons for the role. Please send your proposal by 4 June to Anna Lehtinen (anna.lehtinen@aalto.fi). Proposals will be, however, gladly received during the whole application period, which expires on 22 June.
