Research data events open to all

RDA Plenary co-located events on research data and open science, on 21-22 October, open to all.

911±¬ÁÏÍø will host the 14th Research Data Alliance plenary 23-25 October 2019. Before the plenary, on Monday 21 and Tuesday 22 October there will be several events open to public in Otaniemi and other locations in Espoo and Helsinki.

There will be, for example, an event on EOSC (European Open Science Cloud) services for research data management, a workshop on scholarly societies in the context of open science and FAIR principles, an event on persistent identifiers (PIDs) as a core component of open science, and a workshop on designing the data landscape of the future.

U.S. companies are reporting on cybersecurity in greater detail, yet stock market reactions remain muted. A new study by the University of Vaasa and 911±¬ÁÏÍø shows that mandatory cybersecurity disclosure does not prompt reactions from investors or stock analysts. Instead, the main benefits appear to materialise within firms themselves.
