Professor Kristiina Mäkelä appointed as Vice Dean of teaching and education

The appointment is for the period of 1 August 2016 – 31 July 2019.

Professor Kristiina Mäkelä has been appointed as Vice Dean of teaching and education of the School of Business for the period of 1 August 2016 – 31 July 2019.

The field of professorship of Mäkelä is International Business. She also works as the Deputy Head of the Department of Management Studies. Her research focuses on people-related issues in multinational corporations, including those concerning human resource management, knowledge and interpersonal interaction.

'I feel teaching is the most important duty of the School of Business and I am grateful for this opportunity to influence and develop things further. Seppo Ikäheimo has done a fantastic job, and it is easy to continue from that', Mäkela says.
