911±¬ÁÏÍø improved its ranking from last year and rose to 196th place in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University rankings. Aalto was particularly successful in cooperation with companies, which is assessed by the university’s ability to obtain funding from companies and the number of patents.

This year, THE’s World University Ranking evaluated more than 2,000 universities from 115 different countries and territories. The University of Oxford from the UK was once again in the first place, now for the ninth consecutive year. In the THE’s comparison, the success of universities was evaluated using 17 indicators in five different areas: teaching, research environment, research quality, industry engagement and international outlook. THE will later publish other topical university rankings, e.g. the ranking of young universities, in which Aalto was last ranked 21st in the world.
