Bayan Karimi, a postdoctoral researcher at Aalto's Department of Applied Physics and a Marie Sk艂odowska-Curie Action Global Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Molecular Engineering鈥檚 , talks about her work.

鈥淲hen you discover something that is unknown and you find a way to prove it experimentally, it is a fantastic moment,鈥 she said. 鈥淵ou forget about how much work you have done to get there.鈥

鈥淨uantum thermodynamics is a relatively new area of research, and it seems to mean different things for different researchers.鈥 Jukka Pekola said. 鈥淏ayan is bringing a lot of concreteness to this research via her impressive experimental and theoretical results on quantum thermal transport and thermodynamics. She combines talent and passion in science she is at, with nearly unlimited energy.鈥
