The annual Physics Days conference ("Fysiikan päivät") of took place March 4-6, 2026.

The venue for Physics Days 2026 was the Dipoli building on the Aalto campus, which saw over 300 physics-minded attendees gather for three days.

The programme, with a theme of 'fostering resonance', included plenaries on quantum matter, the physics of paper cuts, nuclear energy, women in physics and more. There were also parallel sessions arranged by topic that featured researchers from all over Finland sharing their work, along with a public lecture in Finnish by Aalto Professor Päivi Törmä about how to find a room-temperature superconducting material.

The programme and other materials like the abstract book can still be found on .

This year's conference was organized by Aalto's Department of Applied Physics, the Finnish Physical Society and the City of Espoo. The organizers thank all speakers and attendees, and we hope to see you again next year!

A new study by the University of Vaasa and 911±¬ÁÏÍø shows that mandatory cybersecurity disclosure does not prompt reactions from investors or stock analysts. Instead, the main benefits appear to materialise within firms themselves.
