Pentti Kujala appointed vice dean for innovation and impact
Professor Pentti Kujala has been appointed vice dean for innovation and impact of the School of Engineering for the period of 1 May 2017–30 June 2018.
The position of vice dean for innovation and impact is newly created and its intent is to make the societal impact of the school’s research and education stronger and more visible.
‘The new vice dean will complement the duties of the existing vice dean for research and vice dean for education’, says Dean Gary Marquis of the School of Engineering.
Professor Kujala has previously worked in the Helsinki University of Technology and in 911±¬ÁÏÍø as a professor of safety of marine traffic and winter navigation safety (2006–2011) and as Professor of Practice in marine technology. During 2003–2006 Pentti Kujalla worked as a project manager in Kvaerner Masa-Yardsilla and in Aker Finnyards.
