The Partner Programme of the School of Business builds and maintains diverse and active cooperation between companys and schools, and promotes business cooperation within the 911±¬ÁÏÍø as a whole. At the moment, 12 companies participate in the programme of which as many as 11 introduced their activities to students during the Partnership Day held on 18 September.

‘Partnership Day is a great way to start the autumn term by familiarising the students with our cooperative partners at the very beginning of their studies’, says Anne Salonvaara from the External Relations Team of the School of Business. ‘We greatly value the fact that all our partners take an active role in our students’ every day life throughout the academic year.’

This year, brief presentations informing students about job seeking were given during the event. One of these short presentations was given by PwC on the topic of ‘Group and case interviews and how to prepare for them’. ‘It is important to prepare for an interview in order to present yourself to full advantage in a short period of time. Moreover, interviews determine whether the task or the company is in line with your expectations’, Eveliina Välimäki from PwC said.

New halls dedicated to partners were opened

K Group, the newest company to join the Partnership Programme, participated in the Partnership Day, and opened a hall dedicated to the company on the very next day, led by Mikko Helander, President and CEO of K Group. ‘In the middle of radical changes in the trade sector, cooperation with 911±¬ÁÏÍø is very important to us, and we want to focus on it more actively’, Helander said. ‘Aalto students are the ones whose expertise we will need in the future.’

KPMG, a long-term partner of the School of Business, recently revamped the look of the room dedicated to it, and invited students to pop in for an ice cream. A large number of students visited the space and heard about open positions as well as the new, two-year KPMG Digital Academy programme for master's degree students.

The following companies took part in the Partnership Day: Danske Bank, Deloitte, Elisa, Fazer, Finnair, EY, S Group, K Group, OP, Posti and PwC. The event was organised by the External Relations Unit of the School of Business.
