Mobile application Aalto SPACE expands to Harald Herlin Learning Centre

The Aalto Space mobile application, piloted last August, will expand from the Undergraduate Centre to include the Harald Herlin Learning Centre.

The application is an easy and fast way to book working space from seven negotiation rooms and group work facilities within the Learning Centre. You can also still book working space in the Undergraduate Centre using the same application. The extension is connected to a version update of Aalto Space, which will also include an update of the layout view to the view that was first used in Slush 2016.

Since its launch, Aalto Space has attracted a wide and active user base of 2,600 people. New users join them every day. In addition to Android and iOS devices, you can also use the application in a web browser, for example in Windows Phone. The application has already been developed based on user feedback.
'We are grateful for all the user feedback that we have received. Most of the feedback has been positive, and we have seen that there was clearly a need for a booking application. The application has now been improved and new booking opportunities added', says Satu Kankaala, Head of Workplaces and Sustainability in Aalto CRE campus services.

In addition to bookings, Aalto Space includes functions for searching facilities, navigating in buildings and receiving emergency communications. In 2017, the application will expand further to include other facilities in addition to the Undergraduate Centre and the Learning Centre. New possibilities for utilising the application will also be explored.

Aalto Space application is available from AppStore and GooglePlay from 13 January onwards
