Metsävisa competitors and teachers visited
A group of 30 people, 15 students and their teachers visted Department of Forest Products Technology.
These students had participated Metsävisa competition earlier this spring among 26.800 other competitors. The annual competition is organized by the Finnish Forest Association (Metsäyhdistys). On of the themes this year was bioeconomy.

Professor Jouni Paltakari told about the value chain of fibres. Students learned more about the value chain of fibres and they had a chance to make paper themselves. Coversation arose how to recycle the top of a milk can, does nano cellulose have any health risk and are new products really needed.
