Latest macOS released for public testing as a self-service upgrade to Aalto Mac workstations

macOS 10.12 Sierra has been released for public testing as a self-service upgrade to Aalto Mac concept workstations.

Managed Aalto Macs, with OS X 10.11.6, and which are connected to wired Aalto workstation network, can be upgraded to macOS 10.12 as a self-service via Managed Software Center. Upgrading is voluntary.

Working IT Services administered Aalto Mac (concept for researchers, teachers, and artists) installations can typically be upgraded to 10.12 without erasing the data. Nevertheless, personal files should be backed up prior to upgrade. Please note that a self-service upgrade via App Store is not recommended.

If you have questions, please contact servicedesk@aalto.fi .
