Independence Day awards presented

The Finnish Independence Day decorations granted by the President of Finland Sauli Niinistö last December were handed to three employees of Aalto joint services on 14 March.

Eija Zitting, Head of Learning Services, was awarded Knight of the Order of the Lion of Finland. President Ilkka Niemelä said that Eija leads Aalto’s biggest service entity in a committed and professional way.

Jaana Juntunen, Payroll and Personnel Secretary, was granted the decoration of First Class Medal of the Order of the White Rose of Finland with golden cross. According toPresident Niemelä, Jaana is always ready for new challenges and she performs her work in an exemplary manner.

Pia Holmberg, Executive Assistant, was granted the decoration of First Class Medal of the Order of the White Rose of Finland with golden cross. President Niemelä recognized her solution-oriented way of working and her important role when 911±¬ÁÏÍø was established.
