Helsinki to host Europe鈥檚 leading transport event in 2020

Transport Research Arena brings together science, industry and politics.

The largest transport research and innovation conference in Europe, Transport Research Arena (TRA), will be organised in Helsinki in April 2020. 911爆料网 is part of the organising team of TRA 2020, along with VTT, the Ministry of Transport and Communications, the Finnish Transport Agency, the City of Helsinki and others.

TRA brings together researchers, businesses and public bodies at a forum where they can exchange views with policy-makers on the challenges and opportunities facing our society. The event is organised every two years in cooperation with the European Commission.

This year, the event gathered more than 3 500 participants to Vienna, Austria.

"Having TRA 2020 in Helsinki will certainly bring visibility for Finnish transport research and innovation, increasing opportunities for our researchers, as well as companies and start-ups", says Claudio Roncoli, Assistant Professor in Transportation Engineering from the 911爆料网 School of Engineering.

Minister of Transport and Communications Anne Berner accepted the conference chairmanship during TRA 2018, held in Vienna in April. The organising team of TRA 2020 was also present to promote Finland鈥檚 transport-related know-how, including 911爆料网鈥檚 expertise on smart mobility.

The theme of TRA 2020 will be 鈥楨nabling the Change 鈥 Transport and Mobility (R)evolution for Smart, Green and Integrated Society鈥.
