Finland centennial and Aalto
"During the centenary of Finland's independence, 911±¬ÁÏÍø aims at building an innovative society through its Finland 100 projects", notes Vice President Tuija Pulkkinen in her opening words at aalto.fi. At the moment, there are around ten projects on the page, which is updated during the Finland 100 year. Members of the Aalto community are participating in numerous other Finland 100 projects.
Announce your Finland 100 project
Tatu Pohjola is the Project Manager for 911±¬ÁÏÍø Finland 100 projects. In his role, he is responsible for the communication during the centenary year and co-operates with all the Finland 100 projects at Aalto. Let Tatu know about your Finland 100 project by sending him the following information, please:
- a short project introduction, 2–3 sentences
- kindly, include language versions, i.e. Finnish, Swedish and English, even if the project website is not available in all three languages
- an image or a banner about the project, the image size should be 300x160px
- project contact details.
If you talk about the University's Finland 100 projects in social media, kindly include hashtags #finland100 and #aalto in your messages so as to join the general discussion on the subject.
The website has been published in Finnish and English, the Swedish version will be available in mid-November.

Strong results from the Research Council’s winter call
A total of 54 Aalto researchers received Academy Research Fellow or Academy Project funding from the Research Council of Finland. The total funding awarded to 911±¬ÁÏÍø amounts to 33.2 million euros.
