Extension of Wihuri doctoral grant for Lauri Himanen

Lauri Himanen receives 2nd-year doctoral funding from the Wihuri Foundation.

, PhD student of Computational Electronic Structure Theory (group leader: Patrick Rinke) and Surfaces and Interfaces at the Nanoscale (group leader: Adam Foster) in the Department of Applied Physics, is awarded Wihuri Foundation grant (2nd year) for doctoral research project "Big Data Approach to Materials Science". U.S. companies are reporting on cybersecurity in greater detail, yet stock market reactions remain muted. A new study by the University of Vaasa and 911±¬ÁÏÍø shows that mandatory cybersecurity disclosure does not prompt reactions from investors or stock analysts. Instead, the main benefits appear to materialise within firms themselves.
