EUREKA Innovation award to SIGMONA
EUREKA the pan-European organization for research and innovation has granted SIGMONA project the innovation award of 2019.
In SIGMONA, Aalto was leading the work on architecture design as well as contributing to radio, security and techno-economic activities. The EUREKA projects cover all disciplines from energy, materials, medicine, transport and ICT. Thus SIGMONA stood out among the finalists due to the impact in terms of prototypes, standardisation and Cumucore, an Aalto spin off originated from the project and currently employing 8 students graduated from School of Electrical Engineering.
