EIT Digital Call for Proposals 2018

911±¬ÁÏÍø is a core partner in the EIT Digital.

is a unique EU initiative that spurs innovation and entrepreneurship across Europe. , one of the EIT’s Knowledge and Innovation Communities, is a leading European innovation and entrepreneurial education organisation driving Europe’s digital transformation. The Helsinki Node of EIT Digital is located at the Open Innovation House in Otaniemi.

EIT Digital has now announced the opening of its Call for Proposals for 2018 and invites partners to propose impactful Innovation and Education Activities well aligned with its strategic Action Lines. All researchers from Aalto can participate in this annual activity call. The Call document and further Call-related information can be accessed via the The submission deadline is May 5, 2017, at 6pm CET.

The objective of the Call 2018 is to fund the Innovation Activities, which propose to create new startups, launch a product or services, or transfer a technology, and the Education Activities (Master School, Doctoral School, and Professional School) where students develop cutting-edge ICT knowledge merged with innovation and entrepreneurship skills.

The following five Innovation Activities are open in this call: Digital Industry, Digital Cities, Digital Wellbeing, Digital Infrastructure, and Digital Finance. In addition, the partners are invited to propose Offers for Contribution for the following High Impact Initiatives (HIIs): Advanced Connectivity Platform for Vertical Segments and Operate European Digital Industry with Products and Services. The focus of the call for the Education Activities is design and implementation of individual courses, especially online and for the Professional School.

The required co-funding is at least 25 % in the Innovation Activities and at least 50 % in the High Impact Initiatives.  Applicants must ask for the approval for submitting the proposal from the head of the department and the budget approval from the department’s controller.
