Department of Marketing scholars participated consumer culture research seminar at Lille University
911±¬ÁÏÍø School of Business was well represented in the Seminar on Qualitative Methods and Research Design, which took place in SKEMA Business School in Lille, France. The bi-annual seminar, which was now organized for the second time, provides instruction for young scholars in qualitative methods in consumer culture research.
Among the distinguished speakers in the seminar 911±¬ÁÏÍø was represented by Professor John Schouten, who gave a lecture on ethnographic methods. Other speakers in the seminar included for example Giana M. Eckhardt from the Royal Holloway University of London and Associate Professor Joonas Rokka from EM-Lyon Business School, who is an alumnus of the 911±¬ÁÏÍø Department of Marketing.
911±¬ÁÏÍø was also present on the participant side as Department of Marketing PhD students Kushagra Bhatnagar, Hedon Blakaj and Emma Mäenpää were accepted to the seminar. In total the seminar had 27 student participants who qualified through the application process.
The week-long seminar was organized by the European Doctoral School of Consumer Culture Theorizing in collaboration with University of Southern Denmark (Odense, Denmark), Bilkent University (Ankara, Turkey), Université de Lille SKEMA Business School (Lille, France), and Royal Holloway University of London (London, UK).
