Cryocourse 2018 on low-temperature technology at Aalto
Young researchers at the postgraduate and postdoctoral level as well as technicians and engineers attend the training on advanced cryophysics and cryogenics. The modules are presented by knowledgeable and distinguished scientists in the field, who embrace learning-by-doing.
In the spirit of a "hands-on" approach, several practical works will be undertaken under the supervision of the scientific and technical staff.
Tutorial lectures address cooling measurement techniques, low-temperature detectors and amplifiers, sample preparation for experiments in extreme conditions, and the latest developments in low temperature engineering for quantum technology.
This course is one of the training modules provided by the ), which receives funding from the European Union.
