Congratulations to Tero Junnila for finishing his master's thesis
"Batch leaching of gold in cupric chloride media"
Tero recently finished his thesis on "Batch leaching of gold in cupric chloride media".
Tero investigated the topic as cupric chloride media offers a potential alternative to cyanide leaching for leaching gold. In his work, increasing chloride concentration and reducing particle size were noted to be important factors for improving gold extraction. Increasing circumferential speed, temperature and cupric concentration also had a positive effect, however when the latter is increased excessively, passivation of metals occur and gold dissolution decreases.
Congratulations Tero!
