Best student paper award to the Department of Signal Processing and acoustics

Main Conference of Signal Processing, Speech Technology and acoustics was held during 20-25 March 2016 at Shanghai, China.

Main Conference of Signal Processing, Speech Technology and acoustics was held during 20-25 March 2016 at Shanghai, China. ICASSP, International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing, was organized by IEEE.

In the Conference was held around 1 300 presentations, which were passed full-paper estimation. Acceptance percentage of Peer review were 47 %.

Three articles has received the Best Student Paper Award at ICASSP 2016 and one the rewarded articles were publication of the Department of Signal Processing and acoustics.

The paper is titled "High-pitched excitation generation for glottal vocoding in statistical parametric speech synthesis using a deep neural network" by Lauri Juvela, Bajibabu Bollepalli, Manu Airaksinen and Paavo Alku.
