Apply now: Bioengineering human tissue: Design, fabrication, analysis

Unite!’s Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) on bioengineering human tissue combines online learning with hands-on training in Germany. Limited scholarships are available for Aalto students.

Bioengineering human tissue: Design, fabrication, analysis BIP, is an international course in human tissue engineering held both online and in-person, at TU Darmstadt, Germany.

During the course, students will learn about 3D tissue design, transport phenomena, mechanical conditioning, and challenges in clinical applications. Students will also gain hands-on experience with state-of-the-art methods for creating and analysing 3D human tissue models.

Key Information:

Online component: 15 -19 June, 2026

In-person component: 31 August to 4 September 2026, at TU Darmstadt, Germany.

Open to: Master's level students in Bioengineering, Biotechnology, Biology, Biomaterials, and Chemical Engineering. There are some scholarships for travel and accommodation available for Aalto students. The scholarships will be paid according to the Erasmus+ short-term blended mobilities’ rules
