Almost 200 participated Learning@Aalto Gala 2017

Aalto people were celebrating learning and having Aalto Learning Awards 2017 ceremony Dec 20, 2017, at the Learning Centre.

Lots of demos, ten workshops and a long queue to "Minute Maddess" pitching took also place.

Aalto Learning Awards 2017

Professor Petri Vuorimaa was presented an award for being a role model and the ‘halloped’ student representatives for achievement in community development.

The workshops were organized by: Research on teaching and learning at Aalto (Poster session,facilitator Päivi Kinnunen), Virtual reality workshop (Eero Tiainen), Future of education workshop / working life capabilities (Laura Sivula), Workshop on video presentation skills (Yulia Guseva, Paul Savage), Designing the student journey (Theresa Berg), Student ambassador workshop (Katri Ventus), AllWell? -questionnaire 2017 & 2018 (Mikko Inkinen), Creating Les(s) Stress: Tips for meeting troubled students (Merita Petäjä), FabLab Workshop and EXAM: the electronic exam (Venla Virtakoivu, Juhana Nieminen).

Learning Aalto Gala was organized by Tomi Kauppinen (Aalto Online Learning, A!OLE), Laura Sivula (Learning Challenge Aalto), Saara Maalismaa/Sara Rönkkönen (All Well? Wellbeing project) ja Katri Ventus (Programme Attractiveness).

Our goal is to develop, explore and evaluate novel advanced technical solutions and pedagogical models for online/blended learning

All Well? Wellbeing project Our goal is to enhance the success of students by advancing study support, teaching, learning services and focusing support on study capabilities.

Programme Attractiveness  Our goal is to create and develop concrete tools that help the programmes to monitor their performance, evaluate their content and to enhance their quality. We also aim to learn what makes programmes attractive and show the programmes how they can collaborate and share best practices in order to become and stay attractive.

Learning Challenge Aalto Our goal is to inspire, equip and support students on their way towards working life. Tomorrow’s game changers are those who create value to companies and communities.
