Access to 911±¬ÁÏÍø services blocked from anonymous proxies and Tor network on 29 April 2025

911±¬ÁÏ꿉۪s cyber security resilience is constantly developed. As part of this development work, from 29 April 2025 onwards, access to 911±¬ÁÏÍø services is not possible from anony-mous proxies, botnets or Tor networks.

What do I need to do?

If you’re using a third-party virtual private network (VPN) solution your access to Aalto services may be blocked. This is due to VPN providers’ IP addresses being commonly classified as anonymous proxies, which they technically are.

When working outside of 911±¬ÁÏÍø networks, it is recommended to use Aalto VPN service, to connect to 911±¬ÁÏÍø services. Using Aalto VPN helps secure communications and gain the best possible access to 911±¬ÁÏÍø services when working outside Aalto networks.
