Aalto’s international outlook still strong according to Times Higher Education ranking
911±¬ÁÏÍø has again placed between 201 and 250 in this year’s Times Higher Education World University Ranking. As in previous years, Aalto’s strongest area was international outlook, the category in which the proportion of international students and staff, as well as international collaboration are considered.
This general ranking measures universities’ success according to 13 indicators related to international outlook, research, citations, teaching and industry income.
The ranking includes more than 1 600 universities across 99 countries. For the sixth year in a row, the University of Oxford leads the ranking in first place.
The Times Higher Education also publishes a ranking list of young universities. In the listing published last June, 911±¬ÁÏÍø was placed 28th among universities under 50 of age.
For a university like Aalto, which specialises in technology as well as business and arts, general rankings may be less relevant than rankings by field or subject which the Times Higher Education is expected to release later this year.
