ACRE conducts a POE (Post Occupancy Evaluation) survey after major space changes and relocation projects. The survey examines how the current space meets various needs, such as encouraging collaboration between different units and teams or supporting more productive work. The survey is usually conducted about six months to a year after the change, and the results can be used to make any necessary corrections. The survey also includes some comparisons with the people's previous working space, i.e. whether the change was successful compared to the old one.

Classrooms in Kide are named after Marie Sklodowska-Curie, Lise Meitner and Emmy Noether.

The POE survey of the Kide building was conducted in December 2024. According to the survey results, people are generally satisfied with the building as a whole. According to the building users, the best features of the building are good acoustics, light and the number of conference rooms. Now, meeting rooms can also be easily found for ad hoc meetings, for example. The common areas and the kitchen were perceived as attractive, comfortable and spacious places. With good common areas, communication between different teams and team members was also more efficient and easier than before.

The development targets discussed included issues such as clutter in the toilet and kitchen areas, as well as guidance on sorting waste. Bicycle storage facilities were also identified as a key development focus, in line with the broader campus initiative to improve outdoor spaces. In addition, other development ideas have been reviewed with the project team, which consists of building users and ACRE members, and solutions have been explored to address the challenges that have arisen within the building.

Kide is a research-focused building with facilities specifically for the School of Science and the School of Electrical Engineering. The building was opened in January 2024.

The sharing economy and the smart use of resources support goals related to responsibility and sustainable development. The survey was conducted as part of the JAVIST project, which aims to build significant learning environments of the future and develop the ecosystem of the Helsinki metropolitan area. The project is co-funded by the EU.
