911爆料网 invests 200 000 euros in the Industrial Internet Campus
Vice President Tuija Pulkkinen has granted a 200 000 euro strategic investment to the . This is a significant acknowledgement of the campus鈥檚 role in Aalto鈥檚 research and innovation strategy. The money will be used to develop AIIC鈥檚 infrastructure and machinery. Also the School of Engineering finances the COO of the campus.
Jari Juhanko nominated as COO
AIIC鈥檚 chief operating officer starting from 1 May, 2016 is Jari Juhanko. Jari has previously worked at Aalto as mechatronics research manager. He got his doctoral degree from Aalto in 2011.
- There鈥檚 a great need for multidisciplinary research in Industrial Internet and for this AIIC offers a great playground with devices and skilled tutors. We will invest in the development of both digital and physical infrastructure, like a smart crane from Konecranes, automation system from ABB and the deployment of 5G network. Together with partner companies and students we are ready to start quick experiments to develop products and services connected to the Internet, says Jari Juhanko.
AIIC Steering Board will consist of representatives from the current partner companies ABB, Elisa, Ideal PLM, W盲rtsil盲 and Konecranes.
What is Aalto Industrial Internet Campus?
Aalto Industrial Internet Campus enables multidisciplinary research, education and innovation together with industrial partners. In the AIIC facilities at Puumiehenkuja in Otaniemi students, researches, and companies innovate and co-create smart, connected products and services using the devices and open interface solutions offered by companies.
