The Academy of Finland’s research programme New Energy will involve a search for solutions for managing the coming major transition in the energy sector. Solutions will be applied to the creation of new energy products; business models; process principles; types of energy; storage, transmission and distribution mechanisms; solutions for managing complex grids; as well as the integration of energy in new ways with habitation, transport, commerce, recycling and the exploitation of biomass.
