40 year old Oskari Vilamo Fund awarded the best theses on building trade
In November, the Oskari Vilamo Fund, managed by the Foundation of Economic Education, awarded the best construction theses completed in 2024. In total, one dissertations and six diploma theses from 911±¬ÁÏÍø were awarded. This year the amounts of the awards had been enlarged in honor of the 40 year anniversary celebration.
The doctoral dissertation prize of this year have been granted to Christopher Görsch (Department of Civil Engineering)from 911±¬ÁÏÍø. Each grant is 5 000 euros. Christopher Görsch also introduced his dissertation in the event.
Six master's thesis awards were granted to 911±¬ÁÏÍø graduates: Artturi Junttila (Department of Energy and Mechanical Engineering), Valtteri Keto (Department of Civil Engineering), Tapio Pulkkinen (Department of Civil Engineering), Henri Ranttila (Department of Civil Engineering), Ida-Maria Savila (Department of Civil Engineering) and Henri Tähkänen (Department of Civil Engineering). Each grant is 3 000 euros. Tapio Pulkkinen presented his thesis in the event.

Oskari Vilamo Fund – Developer of Building Trade
Oskari Vilamo Fund belongs to the Foundation of Economic Education. It is named after the Councellor Oskari Vilamo, and its purpose is to further the high-grade study on building branch. In the Anniversary of 75 years in 1985, Lemminkäinen LLC founded a Fund to credit of Councellor Oskari Vilamo, the leading person in the history of the company.
The Fund has awarded best theses already from 1993. So far, the Fund has awarded 79 PhD- 20 Licentiate- and 183 MSc-theses, including the awards of today from 2018. The Fund is a special Fund of the Foundation of Economic Education. Oskari Vilamo ja Heikki Pentti foundations have granted over 1,2 million euros as awards since 1985.
