About the building
Kemistintie 1 was built in 1965 and it houses the School of Chemical Engineering.
The terraced four-pointed layout of the building is architecturally clear: The main floor and entrance connect every floor and the four different parts of the building. The main hall two-floor divided space is connected to the other floors through an open staircase. Every other part of the building is also connected to the main part through individual halls.
