Funding for research infrastructures FIRI 2019 - Aalto internal deadline on April 3rd
The Academy of Finland will open a call for research infrastructures (FIRI 2019) on April 2nd and the deadline is May 15th, 2019. The internal process in Aalto has two phases. The deadline for the plans of intent is April 3rd (the first phase) and for the funding application drafts May 6th (second phase).

Aalto password’s length and validity will change starting from 4 February 2019
Password’s validity will lengthen to two years (730 days) and at the same time the minimum length will grow to 12 characters. The change will take effect when a user will change his/her password next time.
Renewal of the 911±¬ÁÏÍø identity management system
The current identity management system will be replaced and the user account creation and password reset processes will change. The new password.aalto.fi service will enable self-service to password reset also for people without Finnish personal identity codes using the personal email address and mobile number recorded in the HR system or student register.

AAC decides on the regulations on credit transfer
The University Academic Affairs Committee (AAC) decided on amending the rules on credit transfer at its meeting on 10 April, 2018. The aim is to enhance the equal treatment of students and to simplify the process whereby learning gained elsewhere is recognised and identified.
Charge card to ease travel expense processing
Applying for a charge card will be faster and easier from January 1, 2019 onwards. Aalto Univer-sity will start using a new Nintex/Sharepoint-based card application tool, and at the same time simplifying the charge card application and approval process.
