There will be a short service break on Aalto Wiki (wiki.aalto.fi) on Monday, 30 December, from 12:00 to 12:30.
Print in City – a public print, scan and copy service replaces Magnacards / cardboard copycards by the end of this year
Customers will be able to use Print in City-service instead, where one can upload the amount of balance through online bank credentials or via credit card combined with a PayPal-account. The new service requires only a personal pin-code for usage and therefore a separate printing card is no longer necessary.

Call for letters of intent of the Strategic Research Council’s new research programmes published, call open 4.12.2019 - 15.1.2020
The application process has two stages, and deadline for the first phase (letters of intent) is January 15, 2020. Projects to be invited to the second phase are selected in March 2020.

Degree regulations revision underway
911±¬ÁÏ꿉۪s degree regulations for bachelor’s and for master’s degree education is scheduled for replacement by a single set of regulations covering both degrees. The change is scheduled to enter into effect on 1 August 2020.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) workshop for universities on 10 December 2019
The 1-day workshop includes an overview of Microsoft Azure AI platform, Machine Learning Fundamentals, an introduction to Azure Notebooks, hands-on lab with Azure Machine Learning Studio where you’ll prep data, build and train a model, evaluate, deploy and predict.

Webropol version 2.0 will change to 3.0 at 21.11.2019. Version 2.0 is still working but you have to go there via Apps. New questionnaires are not able to create anymore to version 2.0.
A new semantic portal brings together data on Finnish civil war victims for open use
A new semantic portal and linked open data service combines information about the war victims of the Finnish Civil War (1918) and prison camps, the First World War, and Kinship Wars that took place around the same time, a century ago.
Windows 7 support ends at the end of 2019
The support of Windows 7 operating system ends 1.1.2020. After that it is not possible to log on Aalto Windows 7 computers. These computers have now a message at log on screen.
