Diversity and inclusion are embedded in 911±¬ÁÏÍø strategy, values and ways of working. Actions towards greater diversity and inclusion are being developed, implemented and followed up on as part of the strategy work. 911±¬ÁÏÍø Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Planoutlines our current state and future goals for development. The three-year EDI plan is supported with annual school-specific action plans.

University forums for D&I development
911±¬ÁÏÍø EDI Committee
911±¬ÁÏÍø Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Committee is lead by Provost Kristiina Mäkelä. Besides the chair and secretary, the Committee includes six development managers or equivalent (one from each school), representatives of student union, faculty members and representatives of different services such as HR, communications and legal. The Committee decides on needed Equality, Diversity & Inclusion actions and their implementation in Schools and at the University level, and outlines the EDI plan for a 3 year period. It reviews activities and follows up of action plans, and communicates on EDI matters in the Aalto community.
Aalto EDI Task Force
University Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Task Force supports implementation of agreed activities and brings to discussion feedback and identified new development needs. The members of the Task Force are CHRO, Head of People & Organisation Development and EDI Officer. The Task Force oversees the alignment of the EDI priorities & strategic roadmap.
School EDI Committes / Task Forces
911±¬ÁÏÍø Schools each have an EDI Task Force or equivalent body, led by the Development Manager or equivalent. The School Task Forces prepare School EDI action plans and are responsible for implementation and follow-up of equality, diversity and inclusion matters at the School level.
