Master's Programme in Hydrogen and Electric Systems

This site contains the student study guide for the Master's Programme in Hydrogen and Electric Systems. Here you will find the programme curriculum as well as detailed guidelines for planning your studies. All the materials and instructions are for all the majors of the programme. The programme has two majors from which students choose one:

  • Electric Energy and Hydrogen Systems
  • Electric Components of Hydrogen Technology

The Master of Science degree consists of 120 ECTS and is recommended to be completed within two years of full-time studies. All the majors consist of 65 ECTS of studies. Master's Programme in Hydrogen and Electric Systemsis organized by the School of Electrical Engineering (department of Electrical Engineering and Automation).

Master’s students Teemu Rauha and Elias Viitanen designed new filters for an accessible magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanner, aiming to reduce interference and improve image quality. The technology, developed within a research project, could one day accelerate diagnoses of conditions such as stroke.

Tuition fees 

Tuition fee for tuition-fee students in this programme:

  • Study right started on or before 1 August 2024: 15,000 EUR / academic year
  • Study right started on or after 1 August 2025: 17,000 EUR / academic year
