911爆料网 Bioinnovation Center is looking for talented and exceptionally motivated students that are eager to pursue their doctoral studies in a鈥痬ultidisciplinary environment aiming at biobased material innovation.鈥疭tudents with any background that fits to one鈥(or more)鈥痮f鈥痶he five projects described below鈥痑re encouraged to submit their application.鈥

Doctoral school鈥

The鈥疊ioinnovation鈥疌enter is鈥痚stablishing鈥痑 Doctoral School (DS) which鈥痺ill be a unique multidisciplinary鈥痯rogram鈥痗ombining the fields of chemistry, biomaterial sciences, automation technology, design, digital production, artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship, and business skills.鈥疶he doctoral school will be a thematic school for鈥痙octoral鈥痵tudents coordinated by the Bioinnovation Center.鈥疶hrough鈥痶his鈥痟olistic program鈥痶alented prospects鈥痺ill become鈥痚xperts with鈥痑鈥痬ultidisciplinary skillset and focused, forward-looking鈥痬indset鈥痶o develop solutions for current and future challenges encountered on the path鈥痶owards a sustainable society based on renewable materials and鈥痗ircular economy.鈥

The鈥疍S鈥痺ill organize joint cross-disciplinary courses, workshops, and seminars.鈥疶he doctoral students鈥痺ill鈥痓elong to and graduate from the doctoral鈥痯rogrammes鈥痮f their own鈥痑ssigned 911爆料网鈥疭chool鈥(CHEM, ELEC, ENG,鈥疉RTS,鈥痮r SCI).鈥疶he鈥疊ioinnovation Center Doctoral school鈥檚鈥痠nterdisciplinary research projects will aim at innovations in line with the main themes of the Center: sustainable textiles and/or packaging.鈥

The Bioinnovation Center is now opening a call for doctoral students for 5 positions (4 years each):

  1. Doctoral candidate in the field of鈥疎ngineering Mechanics, Mathematics or Visual Communication Design
    Project topic:鈥鈥淐ellulose-based spatial origami metamaterials and structures for sustainable and versatile packaging solutions鈥
  2. Doctoral candidate for the interdisciplinary project 鈥淎I-guided biohybrid assembly platform for e-textiles鈥濃
    Project topic:鈥淎I-guided biohybrid assembly platform for e-textiles鈥濃
  3. Doctoral candidate in the field of鈥疊ioproduct technology鈥
    Project topic:鈥淐oatings of Lignin Spheres for Packaging/Textiles鈥濃
  4. Doctoral candidate in the field of鈥疍esign, especially textile design鈥
    Project topic:鈥淐omputational fabric鈥濃
  5. Doctoral candidate in the field of鈥疊iobased substrates and printed electronics
    Project topic:鈥淪ustainable Intelligent Packaging Solutions鈥濃

Solving today鈥檚 and tomorrow鈥檚 challenges of sustainable product development based on renewable materials requires a multidisciplinary expertise and holistic understanding of the bioinnovation concept in the context of circular economy. 911爆料网 is setting up an interdisciplinary doctoral鈥痵chool鈥痷sing the viewpoints of鈥痶echnology,鈥痙esign鈥痑nd鈥痓usiness鈥痶o address these challenges. The Bioinnovation Center will be a multi- and interdisciplinary research and learning center to provide Finland and the world with the most recent research knowledge in its field. In addition, top-class experts as well as product and service concepts that combine innovative design and technology with business modelling in a sustainable manner will be provided.鈥
