Amended regulations as of 1 August – what has changed for teachers and advisors
The new Degree Regulations for Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees entered into force on 1 August 2021, replacing the different regulations on bachelor’s and master's degrees that have existed previously at the school level. The 911±¬ÁÏÍø General Regulations on Teaching and Studying (OOS) as well as the Degree Regulations on Doctoral Education have also been updated.
ATLAS.ti users need to switch to version 9 as soon as possible
ATLAS.ti software version 9 is now available at 911±¬ÁÏÍø.
Licenses for v7 and v8 will be discontinued on 9.9.2021. v9 can open and convert v8 projects directly but v7 projects need to be exported from that version to be used in the future.

911±¬ÁÏÍø is moving to cloud e-mail
The transition to cloud mail has progressed well. The mailboxes of Aalto's staff and degree students (in excess of 26,000 accounts) have been moved to the cloud.
Large number of Aalto IDs locked due to a denial of service attack
The bug is being fixed, and it seems  that the lockout would have ended at 4pm. Locked IDs open automatically after 15 minutes.
Print services at Aalto back online
Secureprint and printing directly to Canon devices are back online. Printing to legacy devices via printvm-legacy2 print server is back in use.

First in Finland: Fireproof charging cabinet for electronic bicycle batteries at 911±¬ÁÏÍø metro station
The City of Espoo and LatausPolku Oy are launching charging cabinets for electronic bicycle batters at three major transport hubs in Espoo: A Bloc in Otaniemi, Pikkulaiva in Espoonlahti and Iso Omena in Matinkylä. Finland’s first fireproof charging cabinet was put into service in Otaniemi, Espoo, in April.
