With grants of up to 100k€ per year, this initiative provides an opportunity for Schools and Departments to pursue innovative projects that foster the development of lifewide learning and create sustainable learning solutions for individuals and industry needs.

Preparing for rolling blackouts at the Otaniemi campus
As a result of the global energy crisis, Finland is also preparing for regionally rotating power outages or rolling blackouts. 911±¬ÁÏÍø is not a national operator critical to the security of supply, so if there is a potential power shortage, there may also be rolling blackouts on the Otaniemi campus which can affect the teaching of open university courses.

Tom Lindholm is the Managing Director of 911±¬ÁÏÍø Executive Education Ltd and Head of Lifewide Learning at 911±¬ÁÏÍø. In the late 1990s, his master’s thesis involved travelling to power plants around the world.
911±¬ÁÏÍø develops informal lifewide learning offerings as a part of the Digivisio 2030 programme
911±¬ÁÏÍø participates in Digivisio 2030 early-stage pilot and develops its informal learning offering.
