Key problems regarding equality have been recognized - A pilot to promote solutions
As a result of Aalto participating in the Equal career paths (NOW!) project, Learning Services are piloting a service concept where students share their experiences on e.g. working in teams and teachers get to walk in the students' shoes. The expected outcome is that the participants become more aware of their unconscious biases, learn how their behavior affects other people, and ideate on how the experiences of the students in (gender) minority can be better acknowledged in teaching.Â
New data visualization provides creative ways of analyzing the genetic ancestry of Finland
A new study conducted at the University of Helsinki succeeded in assessing the genetic ancestry of more than 18,000 Finns. School of Arts, Design and Architecture contributed to the study’s information design and interactive data visualization.
