Jarno Lintusaari, M.Sc., will defend the dissertation "Steps Forward in Approximate Computational Inference" on Monday 18 March 2019 at 12 noon at the 911±¬ÁÏÍø School of Science, lecture hall H304, Otakaari 1, Espoo.
In the dissertation a recent family of methods for performing statistically based inference by using a computer simulator instead of a traditional statistical model was investigated. A new open source software for applying these methods in practice was also developed.
